In 2001, the Lord began speaking to me about a fellowship for pastors of small and mid-size churches, pastors who are bi-vocational and pastors who are young and /or new to the pastoral ministry. He spoke to me about those who want and need someone to partner with them as they seek to do the ministry God has called them to do.
The vision for the Berean Fellowship of Churches came to me that summer. During my time of prayer and study, I came across a passage in Acts 17 that mentioned the city of Berea, a place where Paul went after being rejected, wounded, and driven out of Thessalonia. I thought to myself, pastors need a place of acceptance and affirmation, a place of welcome and yes, and love even when the ministry that they are engaged in is what ushers in the pain into their lives.
God has given me a great opportunity to share and equip pastors for what lies ahead by presenting to you some of the most influential pastors of our time, and tools that will be essential to the development of your ministry.
